Furry Land LP is a company that brings professionalism to the dog services industry. The groomer guidelines is one of the cornerstones of our business as it provides the framework for what separates our company above all others. It’s designed to give you, the groomer, a firm understanding of how furry land operates and where we place our values.
Customer care (both dog and human), professionalism, structure and growth are the fundamentals we rely on . Please read this document and do all you can in order to retain it, as it will be referenced on a daily basis throughout your new career with us. We look forward to a long prosperous future.

The Furry Land Groomer Guidelines are strictly confidential. You will need to repeat the confidentiality in both spirit and under contract.
If there is something you don’t understand or need clarification on, please ask the dispatch. Disciplinary action will be taken when what is outlined within the Groomer Guidelines is not followed.
The Groomer Guidelines will change from time to time and new standards will be created and modified frequently. It’s the duty of the groomer to ensure they’re keeping current with all modifications.
Please understand that as a new company, we rely on the groomers to use common sense and follow direction quickly. Lack of common sense is grounds for termination of our independent contract agreement.
The following are standards that are set by Furry Land when we select our independent groomers. Although all groomers are working independently, we will not renew contracts of groomers that do not follow our guidelines. Furry Land provides bookings that the groomer is free to accept. Furry Land provides the mobile grooming van an a loaner to perform the grooming job booked.
Furry Land does not train groomers and does not have direct management. Furry land offers bookings that groomers are free to accept and although they are expected to be in on time for specific appointments as organized with clients, they do not have check in / check out hours. The groomers manage their work time as they please. All groomers understand that they are independent contracts.

The first 2 months of grooming with Furry Land the Groomers will be under deep scrutiny. Performance will be evaluated during this time to assess your potential for continued contract. Evaluations will continue on all work performed by the groomer, but during the first two months the dispatch and company owners may observe and evaluate your performance more closely and more frequently to ensure that you are working up to the standards needed.
Hours of operation: Business hours are generally 7 days per week and 8am – 7pm. There will be some exceptions to this.
Pay Periods
Pay periods are bi-weekly, beginning on Monday and ending on Sunday at mid night. Pay checks are written on Fridays. We request the contractors bill us on this schedule. We will tabulate the pay based off the reports sent daily. From time to time, pay may be registered before a Friday, but Furry Land accounting will have it ready every second Friday.
General Rules and Common Sense Policies
Furry Land must have a work environment that’s safe and enjoyable for everyone around. A sense of pride of ownership is important to the company, as contractors work independently. The standards of conduct must be upheld at all times.
- All contracted groomers must fill out an NDA and consent to back ground checks and drug tests.
- All contracted groomers must fill out a liability release form.
- All contracted groomers must fill out an I9 Employment Verification.
- Contracted groomers may not bring firearms to work.
- Contracted groomers may not gamble while on duty.
- Contracted groomers may not give or take any bribe of any nature while working with Furry Land. They may not defraud customers of company, and may not embezzle.
- Contracted groomers must be respectful of all other staff members, clients and managers.
5 Star Expectation
After every single appointment the customer will be reached out to within one day and asked if they received a 5 star treatment. If the customer does, we are going to request they review us online.
If a customer does not have a 5 star experience and it’s the result of the behaviour or quality of the work from the groomer, is at risk of continuing a contractual relationship with Furry Land.
